Being sent to England in March, 1918, became an Instructor at School of Aerial Gunnery, New Romney, Kent, and from 19th October till death at No. 1 Observer School. Promoted flying-officer, 19th September, 1917; lieutenant R.A.F., 1st April, 1918. Killed in Aeroplane Accident, Folkestone, 18th November, 1918, and buried in Shorncliffe Military Cemetery, Folkestone.
