Rejoining battn. at Bullecourt, fought until wounded at Mont St. Quentin 31st August, 1918, and evacuated to 3rd London General Hospital, Wandsworth. Again rejoining battn. in November, served until demobilisation. Promoted second-lieutenant, 6th January, 1916, and lieutenant, 14th August; captain, 9th July, 1917. Awarded M.C. for work at Pozieres and Mentioned in Despatches.
