Short description
M M Gordon joined the A.I.F. in 1915. He enlisted with the 8th Division of the Field Ambulance. His Service Number was 6864. He had served with the College Cadets while a student at Prince Alfred College. He was wounded twice while on service in World War I, in 1916 and again in 1918. He returned to Australia  in 1919 following a period of convalescence in England.
He later enlisted for World War II service at Cadell, South Australia, on 21 April 1942. His Service Number was S74993. He served with the 8th (Riverland Battalion) Volunteer Defence Corps. He was discharged on 3 May 1944.
