Short description
R G Goodman enlisted in Adelaide, South Australia on 6 June 1915. He was a student at Adelaide University at the time, studying for a B.E. (Electrical).
His final rank was Honorary Captain. R G Goodman served in Egypt and France, with 8th Field Ambulance and then with 50th Infantry Battalion. He supposedly transferred to the Australian Flying Corps in November 1918. He returned to South Australia on 15 June 1919.
Subsequently, in 1923, he moved interstate. He enlisted in 1939 for World War II army service. He transferred to the RAAF in 1940 and served with the rank of Wing Commander in an administrative capacity. He was discharged in 1947.
