Short description
C G Bennett embarked on HMAT Berrima from Melbourne on 30 June 1916. His Service Number was 12596. He had served as a Lieutenant for 2 years prior to enlistment as a Volunteer Cadet. He enlisted with the 11th Field Ambulance.
He was badly wounded in France in September 1917, suffering a serious chest wound and a broken right arm. he was hospitalized for some time but recovered well from the injuries.
