Short description
C G Evans enlisted  in Adelaide, South Australia. His next of kin was his father, Henry Evans from Louth Bay via Port Lincoln. C G Evans was 25 years old at the time of enlistment, 24 October, 1916. He was a trooper with the 9th Light Horse Regiment. Evans embarked from Sydney as a Private on HMAT Port Sydney on 9 May, 1917. He served in England, France and Belgium.
His occupation given on his enlistment form is Farrier (not Carrier).
