G W G Ponder enlisted as SN 6893 and embarked from Melbourne on 10 November, 1915 for Egypt.
He enlisted again on 24 September, 1941 for service in World War II with the 8th Field Ambulance as a Sergeant. He was discharged on 21 May 1945.
