Verco, C. et al, Blood, Sweat and Fears: medical practitioners and medical students of South Australia who served in World War I, 2014
Short description
J N Webb resigned his military appointment in England on 5 June 1920 to undertake the Diploma of Public Health at University College, London. He was required to return to Australia no later than 31 December 1921.
Resignation of Australians from the military in countries other than Australia was frowned upon and he had to make several declarations confirming he would return to South Australia on completion of his course.
