Short description
B W Wibberley joined the British Army in May 1915. After training at Torquay & Salisbury Plain Training Schools, he joined the Royal Army Medical Corps as a Temporary Lieutenant and was posted to the 56th Field Ambulance, attached to the 7th Battalion, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment (Mounted).
he served during the first battle of the Somme in 1915 and later at Cambrai. Later he served with the 88th Field Ambulance at Passchendaele and as part of the Occupation Army.
He was promoted to Temporary Captain in 1916 and later as Acting Major from 23 December, 1918.
