D R Wallman enlisted with the permission of his parents at Keswick, South Australia, with the AAMC (Australian Army Medical Corps). He did not qualify for military medals in World War I as he did not serve overseas. https://www.discoveringanzacs.naa.gov.au/browse/records/405150/41

D R Wallman also enlisted in World War II at Wayville in 1940 and served until 1944. At the time of his discharge he was posted to 3 Field Ambulance.
