Short description
H S Cleary enlisted as a Lieutenant but embarked with the 8th Field Ambulance as a Private. He embarked on HMAT Ascanius from Melbourne on 10 November 1915. He had enlisted at Keswick, South Australia on 8 June 1915. His Service number was 6852. His occupation at time of enlistment was Student. The address he gave for himself on his Attestation paper was Parkin College, a Congregational Seminary.
