After returning from World War I, P W Rice started a Medical practice in Torrensville, Adelaide. He won a reputation as a gynaecologist and went to England in 1935 where he topped the examinations for the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. he came back to Adelaide where he ran a Gynaecological practice until his death.
