Short description
W E J Ellery enlisted in November 1914 at Oaklands Camp, South Australia. On the orders of the PMO he was discharged (February 1915) in order to complete his medical studies. He re-joined in September 1915, having completed his degree and with 3 weeks of practice at Adelaide Hospital. He embarked from Australia in December 1915. he was appointed Regimental Medical Officer and served in France .
