H.C. Nott enlisted in August 1914 and was posted as Regimental Medical Officer of 10 Battalion at Morphettville, South Australia.he left Australia in November 1914 on the troop ship Ascanius. He was in the landing at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915.
He remained in the Citizens Military Forces until 1925.
He also served as a Radiologist in World War II.
