Short description
I B Jose joined the AIF second reinforcements of 1ASH as a medical student in 1914, achieving the rank of Acting Sergeant. He was discharged in 1915 to complete his medical studies. After doing this, he re-joined the Army in 1916 as Captain. He embarked from Australia in 1916 and was posted to France where he served until his appointment was terminated.
He was promoted to the rank of Major in 1918.
