L W Jeffries returned to South Australia from overseas in 1920 and resumed work as a general practitioner in partnership with Dean Dawson, Charles Turner and Charles Yeatman. He performed his own surgery. he later did relieving work in country S.A. as well as working with the Red Cross Transfusion Service as a Medical Officer
