Notes
After returning from World War I, Beare went into General Practice until 1926 when he went to liverpool to study orthopaedics with Sir Robert Jones. He gained the Robert Jones Medal as a result of this work. He returned to South Australia in 1928 and became one of the pioneers of orthopaedic surgery in Adelaide.
