After the WW1  Mr Fotheringham lived and worked mostly at Berri, working for the Government Experimental Orchard. In 1950s He was still reported working in Berri Lands Department. He and his wife were very active in the local community. He was committee member in school councils, sporting groups, the Volunteer Defence Corps (River Murray) among others.
