Enlisting in London 24th September, 1914, served at Suvla Bay
and in Egypt. Re-enlisting, was promoted captain 7th July, 1917,
and, although gassed at Philosophe in August, 1918, served until
demobilisation in England, returning to Australia in 1922.
Early education at Sydney and Church of England Grammar
Schools.
