After returning to South Australia from World War I service, C Yeatman first practised at Port Pirie where he was Officer of Health. He subsequently returned to Malvern, an Adelaide suburb.
He enlisted for service in World War II at Wayville in 1942. In 1946 he was transferred from the Reserve of Officers and appointed Commanding Officer of 130 Australian General Hospital, serving with British Commonwealth Occupation Force in Japan.
