C F Pitcher was appointed Honorary Medical Officer to Mareeba Babies' Hospital, Adelaide, in 1923 with Drs. Helen Mayo and Frederick N Le Messurier. They contributed to important advances in the care of sick and premature babies. Later, C F Pitcher became Chairman of the Board of Mareeba Hospital.
