M.B., Ch.M. : Lieutenant, A.A.S.C., A.I.F., Gallipoli. Mobilised for duty at the outbreak of War as an officer 25th Infantry, A.M.F. (Old Scottish Rifles), served with A.I.F. Camps. Transferring to A.A.S.C. and sailing 15th May, 1915, as Quartermaster, No. 3 Australian General Hospital, proceeded via England to Lemnos, whence invalided through overwork to Wandsworth Hospital and eventually to Australia about June, 1916. Early education at Barker College.
