L von Bertouch, Service Number 26079, embarked from Melbourne on HMAT Orsova on 1 August 1916. He subsequently fought with the 18th Infantry Battalion at Pozieres, France. He also served during World War II as a Major with the 25th/33rd Garrison Battalion, Homeland Defence, Militia and Non-Deployed Forces.
