M.B. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France and England. Enlisting 10th July, 1916, joined No. 2 Australian General Hospital, Wimereux, 5th April, 1917, and 15th Australian Field Ambulance on 15th, being R.M.O. 59th Battn. 17th October on the Somme and elsewhere until wounded near Villers-Bretonneux 15th April, 1918. On recovery served with No. 1 Australian Dermatological Hospital, Bulford, from 29th May, 1918, and until demobilisation. Promoted temporary major, 1st June, 1918.
