C. de G., B.A. : Private, 4th Machine Gun Battn., A.I.F., France and Germany. Enlisting in August, 1916, and sailing 23rd December with 12th Reinforcements 13th Battn., joined M.G. coy. in June, 1917, and served at Bois Grenier, Pozieres, Ypres, Mouquet Farm, and Bapaume as machine-gunner, scout, and range finder. On n th April was captured by the enemy during Australian attack on Bullecourt and Rennecourt and spent eight months in working camp in  Occupied Territory  , ten months in camps at Schneidemuhl (Posen) and Altdamm (Pomerania) and nine on a German farm at Schelzingen (Posen), returning via Danzig and England 25th April, 1919. Member of Teachers' College.
