6.5.15; sailed 16.7.15, Pte. 2nd rfts. 22nd Btn.; L Cpl. in Egypt 24.8.15; Cpl. 4.5.16; T Sgt. 20.7.16; 2/Lt. 2.8.16; Lieut. 28.11.16. Wounded 25.6.16 and 5.8.16. Awarded M.C. for conspicuous gallantry at Pozieres 1916. Killed in a barrage at Zonnebeke on 4th October 1917.
