Horton College, Tasmania; one year student of Med.; Ch.M., M.D. Edinburgh, M.D. Melb. (ad eundem).
1.2.15, A.A.M.C., Capt. attached 6th Fld. Amb.; sailed 4.6.15; in camp in Egypt till end of August, then to Gallipoli; there was made Sanitary Inspector; T/Major 22.11.15.
On 29th November 1915, in the Lone Pine trenches, he was killed by shell concussion; he was constantly under fire, and had previously had several narrow escapes.
