Arts : Captain, 1st Battn. and 6th A.L.H. Regt., A.I.F., Gallipoli and France. Enlisting 23rd March, 1915, and sailing 28th June with 6th Reinforcements 6th A.L.H. Regt., joined regt. 2nd October and 1st Battn. at Anzac 29th November, being there until the Evacuation. Crossing to France in March, 1916, fought in Fleurbaix sector until wounded 28th May and rejoining battn. in August, served at the Somme, Bullecourt, Ypres, Hazebrouck and elsewhere until demobilisation. Promoted second-lieutenant, 28th November, 1915; lieutenant, 12th March, 1916, and captain, 23rd October. Early education at Cooerwull Academy.
