17.8.14, Cpl. 6th Btn.; sailed 19.10.14; Gallipoli from landing to evacuation; Sgt. 1.5.15; to Imperial Camel Corps 1.2.16; Palestine March 1917.
After the battle of Gaza on 19th April 1917 he was reported missing, and later was officially reported killed.
