24.7.15, Pte. 8th Btn.; sailed 9.8.15; to 6oth Btn. in Egypt 24.2.16; to 58th Btn. 15.3.16; to France 17.6.16; L Cpl. 4.3.17; Cpl. 10.4.17; wounded 11.5.17 and invalided to England; rejoined unit in France in November. Awarded M.M. 12.3.17 for gallantry in bringing in wounded men near Guedecourt 22.11.16. Was again wounded on 5th April 1918, and died the same day. He was buried at La Neuvelle.
