19.6.15, Pte.; Sgt.-Major and Musketry Instructor in camp; to Duntroon in February 1916, and gained commission 1.6.16; sailed with 39th Btn. rfts. 25.9.16; in England gained certificate as bomb specialist, and did court-martia l work; joined unit in France 7.6.17; Lieut. 23.6.17. Killed in action in Belgium 29th July 1917.
