WILLIAMS, ARTHUR STUART. 1914.
High School, Perth; Trinity; 2nd year Architecture; partner in the firm of Ashworth and Williams, Architects.
27.11.14; sailed 22.12.14, Spr. 3rd F.C.E.; at Anzac landing 25.4.15, and helped to make the first roads and bridges; wounded 1.5.15, and evacuated to Malta; returned to Gallipoli, and was there till the evacuation; Sgt. 26.8.15; 2/Lt. 3.11.15; to Egypt and France; Lieut. 20.2.16.
On 22nd July 1916, at Pozieres, while surveying a position for a communicating trench, he was hit by a sniper, and died almost immediately.
