M.B., Ch.M. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 17th November, 1916, and sailing 24th January, 1917, crossed to France 14th May and served with 4th Australian Field Ambulance, being R.M.O. 7th Field Artillery Brigade from n th June to 25th September, 1917, when gassed at Polygon Wood. Mentioned in Despatches posthumously. Died of Wounds (Gas), Poperinghe, 2nd October, 1917, and was buried at Lyssenthoek. Early education at Hayfield Preparatory, The King's and Sydney Grammar Schools. Later at St. Paul's College.
