17.10.14, Capt. A.A.V.C., Vet. Officer 4th Bde.; later attached 12th A.F.A. Bde.; Major 16.4.18; served in Egypt and France. Awarded M.C. May 1918; Despatches of Sir Douglas Haig 7.4.18.
On 8th August 1918 he was wounded by a shell at Fouilloy on the Somme, and died in half an hour. He was buried in the Military Cemetery there.
