Sci. : Private, 34th Battn., A.I.F., England and France. Enlisting 22nd March, 1917, and sailing 16th July, assisted in musketry instruction in England and served with battn. from the German Offensive in March, 1918, to the breaking of the Hindenburg Line in October and till demobilisation, although wounded at Cachy near Villers-Bretonneux 29th March, 1918, and gassed 28th May. Early education at Sydney Technical High School. Later at King's College, London,while on six months' non-military employment.
