Enlisting 13th March, 1917, and sailing 9th April with A.A.M.C. reinforcements, was at No. 2 Australian General Hospital, Wimereux, from 22nd January, 1918. Joined 1st Australian Field Ambulance 20th March, being R.M.O. 1st Pioneer Battn. from 29th March to n th October and serving till demobilisation. Early education at Brisbane Grammar School. Later at St. Andrew's College.
