Econ. : Lieutenant, A.F.C. and 1st A.L.H. Regt., A.I.F., Egypt and Palestine. Enlisting 26th June, 1916, and sailing 3rd February, 1917, joined regt. in Palestine in April and fought as trooper and gunner (Hotchkiss) in B Troop C Squadron till May, 1918. Then being sent to Egypt for A.F.C. training, was gazetted second-lieutenant in July, 1919, and served during Egyptian Riots as observer with R.A.F. and until demobilisation.
