B.A., M.B. : Lieutenant, General List (Education Service), and A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt, England and France. Enlisting 27th September, 1915, and sailing n th March, 1916, with 3rd Reinforcements, 1st Australian Dermatological Hospital, served at Abbassia till September, when hospital was transferred to England. Crossing to France 6th April, 1917, joined 9th Australian Field Ambulance, remaining with it until demobilisation, although wounded at Zonnebeke, 12th October, 1917. Promoted secondlieutenant, 30th October, 1918; lieutenant, 1st February, 1919.
