* M.B., Ch.M.; F.R.C.S. (Edin.), F.R.A.C.S. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and Palestine. After serving in camps from 19th December, 1916, sailed 1st April, 1917, and was with No. 2 Australian Stationary Hospital during Palestine Campaign from 1st May, 1917, to 15th June, 1919. Then allowed extended leave in London for post-graduate study, returning 16th September, 1920. Mentioned in Despatches. Hon. Demonstrator in Anatomy, 1921. Early education at Fort St. High School.
