Enlisting and sailing 10th November, 1915, as lieutenant, served alternately with 8th and 15 th Australian Field Ambulances from 16th April, 1916, till 30th November, 1917. Appointed S.D.O., 4th Command Depot, Wareham, 1st December, 1917, attached to No. 1 Convalescent Depot, Havre, 10th December, 1918, and appointed Senior Officer, Aust. Dental Section, A.I.F. Depots, U.K., 28th April, 1919, serving till demobilisation. Promoted hon. captain, 13th December, 1916; captain, 6th April, 1917, and major, 1st December.
