M.B., Ch.M.; F.R.C.S. (Edin.), Dent. II : Lieutenant, 210th Siege Battery, R.G.A., B.E.F., France. Enlisting in London 10th November, 1916, and training at Handel St., London, and Lydd, crossed to France in April, 1917, and served at Arras, Bullecourt, Ypres, Cambrai and the Somme. Gassed 12th July, 1918, and evacuated to No. 3 London General Hospital, returning to Australia 22nd January, 1919, on sick leave. Early education at The King's School (Captain). Later one year in Arts.
