M.C., M.B. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., England and France. Enlisting 14th May, 1917, and sailing 16th June, served as R.M.O. 5th Training Battn., Fovant. Crossing to France, joined No. 2 Australian General Hospital, Wimereux, whence detached for duty with 107th Field Ambulance, becoming R.M.O. 157th Field Artillery Brigade. Late in 1918 transferred to 5th A.F.Amb., serving until demobilisation. Awarded M.C.* for work while with British Artillery. Hon. Demonstrator in Anatomy. *  For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty, on 27th September, 1918, near Ypres, with the leading battery, which suffered many casualties. Ignoring all danger, he established an aid post on the roadside, and attended many wounded. . .
