B.A., Law I I I : Lieutenant, 13th Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in 1914, was returned on account of father's death. Re-enlisting early in 1916, was allotted to Bathurst Camp with commissioned rank in A.M.F., but on the breaking up of the country camps, re-enlisted as private 15th January, 1917, and sailed as sergeant 24th Reinforcements 13th Battn. Joining battn. 21st June, was commissioned 19th December and served in Messines sector till death. Died of Wounds, Hebuterne, 26th March, 1918, and was buried in Fonquevillers Military Cemetery. Early education at Newington College.  “ He was fearless and unselfish—a warrior who turned the necessity and horrors
