M.B., Ch.M. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting in August, 1915, and sailing early in October, was S.M.O. No. 2 Australian General Hospital, Ghezireh, and, crossing to France, at Etaples Base Hospital. On 30th March, 1917, became R.M.O. 19th Battn. and served at 2nd Bullecourt and 3rd Ypres, where wounded in October. Joining No. 2 Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Southall, on recovery, remained there until demobilisation. Promoted major, 1st July, 1918. Mentioned in Despatches. University Medallist. Early education at Fort St. High School.

Morgan had an interest in medical hypnosis and was an expert witness in many court cases. In 1953 he was flown to Tokyo to give evidence in the court martial of Private Ian Cupit of 3 RAR, for the murder of an American Corporal. Cupit was found guilty but insane.
