Enlisting 1st June, 1916, and sailing on 3rd, was attached to 14th Artillery Brigade from 29th October and 5th Divisional Ammunition Column from 6th November, 1916, to 7th December, 1918, returning in February, 1920. Promoted chaplain (Class 3) 1st June, 1918. Member of Moore College and St. John's, Durham.
