M.B., Ch.M. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting in March, 1915, and sailing 16th June with No. 1 Australian General Hospital reinforcements, was at No. 2 Australian Stationary Hospital, Tel-el-Kebir, from 7th December. Joined 8th Australian Field Ambulance 2nd April, 1916, and 7th on 8th December, being R.M.O. 22nd and 25th Battns. for short periods in 1917. Was at No. 1 Australian Convalescent Depot, Havre, from 7th July, 1918, serving until demobilisation. Awarded Medaille de la Reconnaissance Frangaise. Early education at Cooerwull Academy and Sydney Grammar School. Later one year in Arts.
