B.A., Econ. : Private, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Gallipoli, Egypt and France. Enlisting 20th April, 1915, and sailing 15th May, served with No. 3 Australian General Hospital at Lemnos for six months, in Egypt for eight months, and then in France. Joined 5th Australian Field Ambulance in March, 1917, and remained with it until demobilisation, although ill in October, 1917, and August, 1918. Early education at country and Narrandera Public Schools.
