Arts : Captain, 36th Battn., A.I.F., Gallipoli and France. Enlisting in February, 1915, and sailing in August, served with battn. at Armentieres, Messines, 3rd Battle of Ypres and till death at Villers-Bretonneux where he was adjutant. Promoted secondlieutenant, 16th March, 1916, and lieutenant, 1st May; captain, 3rd December, 1917. Mentioned in Despatches. Killed in Action, Villers-Bretonneux, 12th April, 1918, and buried in Heath Cemetery, Harbonnieres. Early education at Sydney High School.
