LL.B., Diploma in Economics and Commerce : Lieutenant, A.F.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in 9th Field Coy. Engineers 22nd December, 1916, attended Richmond and Point Cook Flying Schools and, sailing 17th January, 1917, went to R.F.C. School in England. Served with 69th Squadron A.F.C. in France from 29th September till accidentally injured at Savy 24th October and evacuated to Australia, arriving 22nd March, 1918. Re-volunteering after hospital treatment, was transferred to Reserve of Officers. A.M.F. : Lieutenant, 20th Battn. Early education at Minto Public and Sydney High Schools. Later at Technical College and St. Andrew's.
