Arts III and Law II : Lance-Corporal, 1st Machine Gun Coy., A.I.F., Gallipoli and France. Enlisting 5th January, 1915, and sailing with 4th Reinforcements 3rd Battn., joined battn. at Anzac 31st May, transferred same day to M.G. Coy. and served until the Evacuation. Crossing to France in March, 1916, was wounded at Pozieres 20th July. Promoted lancecorporal, 12th March, 1916. Died of Wounds, Pozieres, 21st July, 1916, and was buried in Daours Communal Cemetery Extension. Early education at Sons of Missionaries School, Blackheath, England. Later at University of London.
